At the Fredericton Long & McQuade Lesson Centre, music lessons are available for all ages, levels and styles. Conveniently located uptown at 981 Prospect Street, we have morning, afternoon, evening and weekend lesson times available to fit your busy schedule. As the largest lesson centre in the Fredericton region, we feature 9 clean and well equipped lesson studios, a friendly environment and affordable lesson rates. Offering guitar lessons, piano lessons, drum lessons, voice lessons and more, our qualified and professional music instructors will guide you to your musical goals while making learning fun! Monday through Friday
9:00am - 3:00pm
Cost: $385 for the week
Students gain skill in rhythm and lead guitar, bass, drums, percussion, keys, and vocals. Includes popular and contemporary rock standards, sound, stage set-up, and lighting techniques. Final performance on the last day!
Any instrument welcome! Some experience required. Space limited. Ages 10-17 years old.
Held at 981 Prospect Street. Students should bring lunch and a water bottle. To register, contact the Lesson Centre.

Kathrin Welte holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Mount Allison University and a Masters of Music in Solo Vocal Performance from McGill University. Kathrin’s student-centered teaching approach draws on many techniques, teaching methods and a vast practical background in order to promote development in her students while keeping the joy of music forefront to their experience. Over the course of her 15 year career, she has kept up to date with new teaching methods and is a registered music teacher with the NBRMTA. Kathrin teaches in French and English and looks forward to sharing the art of music together. Kathrin’s rate for a half hour private lesson is $27.

Matthew Brown is a versatile musician and experienced educator specializing in orchestral string instruments. He will be teaching violin, viola, cello and fiddle at the Fredericton location. With a foundation laid by Rueline Geishecker, Matthew’s teaching style combines traditional methods with personalized approaches, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. Having completed a music degree at Mount Allison University, Matthew brings a wealth of knowledge in music theory and performance to his teaching. As a passionate advocate for music education, Matthew is committed to nurturing the next generation of musicians and sharing his love for music with students of all ages and skill levels. Matthew’s lesson rate for a half-hour private lesson is $25.
